Clay pebbles, clay balls or Lightweight Expanded Clay Aggregate (LECA) - All you need for a simple semi-hydro setup (except water of course). The little clay balls draw water up, meaning a small water reservoir at the bottom of a pot made for semi-hydro can hydrate all the way to the top! The balls also provide large chambers with oxygen for roots to grow super strong, which is reflected in your chlorophyll. Conversely, you can add clay balls to potting soil for extra water retention in your mixture.
