This type is steamed slowly and gently, making it ultra-fresh and preserving its natural flavor. In addition, this matcha has a pronounced Umami flavor and low astringency. Use this matcha for traditional matcha tea, Usucha and Koicha. Our premium matcha has a bright green color that comes from the Okumidori cultivar and the first harvest (known as “Ichibancha”, the first flush tea harvested from late April to early May).
