Palo Santo, the "holy wood" of South America, is rich in essential oils and, when burned, spreads a pleasant scent of eucalyptus, pine, mint and lavender.

Effect

The smoking of resinous wood goes back to a shamanic tradition that is thousands of years old and is considered one of the oldest healing rituals. The Palo Santo scent is said to have a calming and even healing effect; it helps clean stuffy rooms and stimulates creativity. Less mystical, but certainly just as effective, the scent works against insects and mosquitoes.
