Palo Santo, the "holy wood" of South America, is rich in essential oils and, when burned, spreads a pleasant scent of eucalyptus, pine, mint and lavender.
Effect
The smoking of resinous wood goes back to a shamanic tradition that is thousands of years old and is considered one of the oldest healing rituals. The Palo Santo scent is said to have a calming and even healing effect; it helps clean stuffy rooms and stimulates creativity. Less mystical, but certainly just as effective, the scent works against insects and mosquitoes.

Light one end of the piece of wood and place it in a fireproof bowl. The pleasant scent will spread throughout the room and the embers will go out after a short time. You can relight a stick up to 100 times.
